Setup
During the 10-day course we will visit medieval towns, fields, areas near the water and areas with rolling hills to enable participants to deal with different aspects and techniques in landscape painting.
During the workshops there will be on site demonstrations showing participants how to put theory into practice.
Some of the subjects we will be dealing with are;
- The use of materials and preparation of the canvas or board;
- Using the limited palette to achieve the right values and temperatures;
- Composition;
- Atmospheric perspective;
- How to resolve trees, water, clouds and reflections;
- Architecture in the landscape.
